Last few weeks we started over with our project idea. We spent a lot of time thinking what we wanted to achieve with our project and in what kind of way. We came to the conclusion that we wanted to use humor as a tool to make some tough topics discussable. We bought and tested the game Cards Against Humanity. The sort of game we wanted to use for our project. Of course, our game will be a little different. But the basics will be the same.
At the beginning of this week, we started to make some adjustments and a new version of the game. After we played it a few times we found somethings we wanted to do differently for our game. As well as including certain topics in our game.

We told Amy our new project idea and she advised us to contact Gemaal op Zuid to ask if we could play there. We went to visit Gemaal today. Unfortunately, the first opportunity they had for us would be at the end of December, we couldn't do that with our deadlines. They did point out some other locations we could ask. Since those locations were in the neighborhood we visited them all on the same day. All the locations had an issue with not knowing if there would be enough people in a diverse group to play with since it was all open nights. Most of the locations were also expecting elderly men. This wouldn't be diverse enough for our research.

We didn't give up, in the next week we were busy with finding locations as well s designing the game further.

This day we visited the next possible location. Pier 80 in Rotterdam Delfshaven. We played our new designed test game with some people there. We experienced there were a lot of elderly men as well. They also didn't really want to play with us. They rather play their own card game.
While playing there we came to the conclusion our game would work much better with high school kids. The age would fit the game more since those kids are more open to new insights into life. As well as having a more diverse group at least in gender.
The same afternoon I e-mailed one of my high school teachers of whom I thought would be really interested in a project like this.
